There are many myths in the field of residential real estate, whether under the Florida sun of under the Quebec snow.

Nobody buys anymore: False
In the south, a colleague who lives in Boca Raton, Florida, recently told me that many people from New York decide to migrate to Florida to settle there permanently. The inventory is shrinking!
From Florida, buyers are also shopping for new properties on the Quebec side.
Buyers delay their investment: False
In the Montreal region, registrations are numerous, and this, in the favorite neighborhoods that are the six central boroughs of Montreal: Ville-Marie, the Plateau Mont-Royal, the South-West, Rosemont – La Petite Patrie, Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve and Villeray – Saint-Michel – Parc-Extension.
The beautification and renovation work of many properties are well underway. The interior of houses is revisited and staged in such a way as to attract the attention of any potential buyer.
Property inventory is low, very low even, however, properties that are well located geographically, in fashionable manner, attract many buyers.
For example, the recent marketing of a two-bedroom, one-bathroom condo on the Plateau Mont-Royal attracted more than 25 visits from qualified buyers in a time frame of 72 hours, and in addition, 4 offers well above the listing price have been done. All that, in spite of hygiene and public health measures in force due to COVID-19. The deal was quickly closed, and an offer was accepted. That is to tell how strong the market is!

I share with you the current phenomena that I have never experienced as much overbidding in the past few weeks.
